Maybelle was born in Daet Camarines Norte, Philippines, one of three children from a very humble family. One of her earliest dreams was to move to the United States to find a better life for herself and family. Initially, she pursued a career in nursing from Trinity University of Asia at  St. Luke’s College of Nursing in the Philippines. Later, she received an offer to come to the USA on an EB3 Work Visa. Finally, she had her chance to come to the USA .

With a lot of bravery and hope she came to the USA and started her career in 1992  as a registered nurse at Westchester Hospital in Miami. After completing her initial contract she went on to an even better opportunity at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. For the next 24 years she maintained her employment at Jackson Hospital climbing the ladder of success and achieving many promotions throughout the decades.

Maybelle has experienced the hardships of working at hospitals where there are severe understaffing issues. As the years went by and the staffing issues rose to an almost epidemic level she decided it was time for her to do something about it. Having a very large network of friends and business acquaintances in the medical industry both here and in the Philippines, she decided to start up her own “ Direct Hire” nursing recruitment company, Direct Hire Nurses to America. Her goal was to not only recruit registered nurses from abroad but develop a program that truly helps their transition from their homeland to the United States. What better scenario could you have than being recruited by someone who has lived out the entire process and knows all of the intricate details that one would experience coming to the USA.
